About us

Director

Lisa Fellhofer (born 1981) is the Director of the Austrian Fund for the documentation of religiously motivated political extremism (Documentation Centre Political Islam) since 2020. She has more than ten years’ experience in the field of integration, migration, international relations, and knowledge management, having worked at the Austrian Integration Fund as well as at the Austrian Foreign Ministry. She is a graduate of the University of Vienna, the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna and also holds a Master's degree in Business Administration specialising in Entrepreneurship & Innovation from the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Deputy Director

Ferdinand J. Haberl (born 1988) is the Deputy Director of the Austrian Fund for the documentation of religiously motivated political extremism (Documentation Centre Political Islam) since 2020. Prior to his appointment he managed the KIRAS research project FORREST and lectured at the Universities of Vienna and Ljubljana. He has published his research with Springer. He holds a PhD in Oriental Studies (Vienna) as well as degrees in Islamic Studies (Vienna), Security Studies (Brunel), Law (Edinburgh) and Documentary Directing (Royal College of Arts London).
