Press conference 2026 and media interviews on the new DPI annual report
On 10 September 2026, the Documentation Centre Political Islam (DPI) presented its 2025 Annual Report and provided an update on current developments amongst Islamist actors. The new publication examines the main currents of political Islam in Austria and highlights how these can exert their influence through lifestyle offerings, influencer groups and online propaganda.
Following the press conference to present the new DPI Annual Report, numerous media outlets – from television, radio, print and online in Austria – reported on the event. The publication was presented by Lisa Fellhofer (DPI Director), Ferdinand Haberl (Deputy Director of the DPI) and Mouhanad Khorchide (Chair of the DPI’s Scientific Advisory Board). In addition to the ORF, private broadcasters such as ServusTV and PULS 24 were also present. The following week, there were also a number of interviews focusing on the findings of the annual report.
