DPI in ORF: DPI Director Fellhofer on Islamist protests on ZIB 2
In view of a demonstration by an Islamist influencer group in Germany with more than 1,000 people, this was also reported on in an ORF report on ZIB 2. Among others, DPI Director Lisa Fellhofer also had her say and provided information about the background of the extremist activists, about whom the documentation centre published a report back in March 2023. Islamist groups are particularly active online and target young people. They are in favour of uncompromising identity politics, call for the re-establishment of a caliphate and reject fundamental principles of a democratic and pluralistic society.
