In January, the Rechtspanorama of the daily newspaper Die Presse on the topic "How much protection does democracy need?" took place at the Juridicum in Vienna. The event was moderated by press editor Benedikt Kommenda. The Documentation Centre Political Islam (DPI) was represented on the podium by Director Lisa Fellhofer. Among other things, she spoke about the work of the Fund and how political Islam calls into question the basic principles of the liberal constitutional state. Other panellists were Omar Haijawi-Pirchner (Director of the Directorate of State Security and Intelligence), Franz Merli (Professor at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna), Alfred Noll (lawyer and journalist) and Susanne Reindl-Krauskopf (Director of the Institute for Criminal Law and Criminology at the University of Vienna).
